This blog will house thoughts, ramblings, and fascinations about technologies, football, and other things.

Why am I making this?

To house other pages on my portfolio because someone commented, "Your portfolio is only one page", in disgust.

It's an excuse to integrate a CMS and play around with the functionality and all that. It was pretty easy to get set up.

Will I post often? Maybe? Will I write a lot? Who knows?

About Me

I'm a web developer.

I love coding and building things. Staying up to date with tech and trends in web dev can feel wild at times, but it keeps me on my toes to learn new things.

Next.js is my jam. I will advocate for Tailwind till I die. Both are my go-to for spinning up projects, sites for clients etc. It's also what I use daily in my current role.

Outside of coding, I love football and music. I've been a Chelsea fan for the last 18 years. Huge nerd about tactics and facts too. I was lucky enough to be classically trained on piano. I taught myself the drums and recently picked up the guitar.

2024 Goals

What 2024 will entail for my personal development? Learn Go? Go seems fun after going through some of the basics. A long time ago I was on a project where I had to build a frontend for a Go backend. The backend was pretty straightforward. Maybe dive into Rust? Maybe both?

I want to get comfortable with another language though. None of this "I can make a basic function with a for loop and some built-in methods to print some things. Let me add that language to my resume" or "I followed a tutorial or udemy. Time to add that language to my resume." Like really understanding how it works and being comfortable and confident enough to build something.

Get some of my side projects off the ground too.

Excited to get this up and running and write some things about things I like.
